The current tuition, effective January 2008, for full-time students of the International College of Traditional Chinese Medicine of Victoria (ICTCM, Victoria) is $450 per credit plus the cost of textbooks. Fifth-year tuition for the Doctor of Traditional Chinese Medicine is subject to increase if the fees for the student internship in China increase. The textbooks and teaching materials may be purchased from ICTCM, Victoria or other sources. In general, only those texts translated from the original standard Chinese textbooks are chosen for our program.

Tuition Payment Schedule

Fall Semester

Tuition fees for the Fall Semester are due by July 1st and may be paid in full or in seven installments. The first tuition payment of $1,500 is due July 1st along with six post-dated cheques for the remaining tuition. The remaining installments can be paid by post-dated cheques: dated Oct. 1st, Nov. 1st, Dec. 1st, Jan. 1st, Feb. 1st, and Mar. 1st. Returned checks are subject to a 2% surcharge. Late payment is subject to a 2% surcharge. (Note late and outstanding payments will be sent to creditors if no action is taken within 3 months) Please be sure to notify the school if you will be paying by student loan.

Spring Semester
Tuition fees for the Spring semester are due by Nov.1st and may be paid in full or in seven installments. The first tuition payment of $1,500.00 is due by November 1st along with six post-dated checks for the remaining tuition. The remaining installments can be paid by post-dated cheques: dated Feb. 1st, Mar. 1st, Apr. 1st, May 1st, June 1st, Jul. 1st. Returned checks are subject to a 2% surcharge. Late payment is subject to a 2% surcharge. (Note late and outstanding payments will be sent to creditors if no action is taken within 3 months) Please be sure to notify the school if you will be paying by student loan.

A student is considered as having withdrawn from the International College of Traditional Chinese Medicine of Victoria when the tuition fee is not paid after the 15th of September for the Fall semester and the 15th of January for the Spring semester. Part-time students pay $450 per credit.

  • Transfer credit fee: $100 per credit
  • Reissue of Transcripts: $25
  • Reissue of Education Amount Certificate (T2202A): $10
  • Graduation (if there is sufficient demand): $50 per student
  • Student Card (optional): $5
  • Student rate for our students receiving treatment in clinic (student): Massage $5, Acupuncture $5
  • The College of Traditional Chinese Medicine, Acupuncture Practitioners of British Columbia (CTCMA) bylaws require that 2nd and 3rd year students of Traditional Chinese Medicine to be registered with them before practicing in the intern clinic. These additional fees are to be covered by the student and paid directly to the CTCMA.
  • Textbook purchases are to be covered by the student. Lists of required books will be made available.

Financial Assistance
Applicants who are residents of British Columbia may apply to the BC Student Assistance Program, which administers Canada Student Loans, BC Student Loans, and BC Grants. Application for the BC Student Assistance Program may be obtained by mail by requesting the application by telephone: 1-800-561-1818 or you may apply for your student loan on-line at: www.bcsap.bc.ca. Applicants residing outside British Columbia should contact the student loans office in their region. Acupuncture Program Scholarships
Beginning January 2007 and for a limited time, scholarships worth up to CAD$10,000 towards tuition (regularly CAD$25,000) are offered to eligible new students of ICTCM, Victoria's three-year Acupuncture Diploma Program. The program may be completed in two calendar years with no summer breaks. Please contact ICTCM, Victoria for more details.

ICTCM, Victoria Scholarships
For Whom: New full-time applicants

Qualifications: 20+ credit program with at least a 90% grade point average with a 90% attendance record; must continue to be enrolled as a full-time student at ICTCM, Victoria in order to receive scholarship.

Scholarship Value: Up to CAD$1,800 available per year towards next year's tuition.
