Enrollment now available all year!
Full-time students that enroll in the International College of
Traditional Chinese Medicine of Victoria (ICTCM, Victoria) attend
20 or more hours of classes per week, which includes clinical
training. We also offer part-time studies. If there are classes
that have less than five students enrolled, tutoring arrangements
will be made for more efficient and individualized instruction.
Special Scholarship Offer for New Enrollment
ICTCM, Victoria offers new students 100 free hours of clinical
training in the summer, a $1,500 value.
Academic Year and Registration
We offer both September and January start dates for classes at
ICTCM, Victoria. Classroom instruction usually begins on the first
week of each month. Registration takes place a month prior to
the start of classes. New students are urged to register as early
as possible. Late registration is accepted with special approval
only, depending on available space. The last week of classes is
designated as "evaluation week", during which period
students are required to write final examinations for each course.
There is a two-week winter break in December and a one-week spring
break in March.

Accelerated Program
Starting from the first week of January each year, a program begins
for first-year students who want to get a head start on the academic
year. This accelerated program allows students to complete the
five-year academic program in four years or the four-year academic
program in three years (one academic year = 30 weeks). The January
program begins the first week of January and runs until the first
week of August, allowing the student to complete the entire first
year of the program in time to enter second year classes in September.
Academic Evaluation
Each student must attend classes regularly. Attendance accounts
for 20% of the final mark and examinations are 80%. A student
must achieve a minimum grade of 60% in order to pass a course
and must achieve a minimum grade of 60% in the comprehensive graduation
examination in order to graduate from the College.
Transfer of Credits
Transfer and acceptance of credits from another recognized school
of Traditional Chinese Medicine may not exceed the number of credits
hours earned by a full-time student at ICTCM, Victoria in one
academic year.
Transcripts
The formal transcript is no charge, but if the transcript is reissued
at the student's request, the fee is $25. A mark sheet is provided
at no cost at the end of each term.
Dispute Resolution Policy
POLICY: Individuals should always try to resolve issues informally.
If a more formal approach becomes necessary, the institution provides
a fair and reasonable mechanism for resolution.
PROCEDURE: "Step One"- First try to resolve the issue
directly with the other party. If this doesn't work "Step
Two" is to put your complaint in writing to the individual
designated by the institution. He/She will request submissions
from all parties involved, including witnesses; conduct an investigation
and set up a meeting within 24 hours. The designated person will
provide a written decision to all parties within 48 hours. If
no resolution is forthcoming "Step Three" is to repeat
the above step with a higher authority within the institution.
If at this point no resolution has been achieved the parties will
appoint an outside arbitrator/mediator within 48 hours. The institution
will bear the cost of mediation.
Graduation
All students shall receive his/her graduation certificate in person.
There will be a graduation ceremony if there is sufficient student
interest and each student pays $50. |
